Half a decade on - let’s provide miscarriage leave

On International Women’s Day in 2021, the Labour Party published legislation that would provide up to 20 days paid leave for any woman who experiences miscarriage or pregnancy loss.

Half a decade on, we are calling on Government to introduce compassion into our workplace laws to support women when they need it most.

Labour’s Reproductive Health Leave Bill would provide 20 days leave for women who suffer pregnancy loss, as well as 10 days leave for any worker who is undergoing fertility treatment.

Let’s give women the right to compassionate leave after miscarriage.
