Hourly Train Service for Athy

I am calling on government, through the National Transport Authority and Irish Rail, to deliver an hourly train service to Athy Train Station through the expansion of the Waterford to Dublin Heuston train line. I am asking all those using Athy train station and those living in the surrounding area to sign the petition which I will bring to the NTA and the Minister for Transport. The town must future proof itself by availing of potential opportunities like this. We cannot leave rural communities like Athy, behind when it comes to public transport. - Mark Wall TD

Reasons for signing

"hourly train services would benefit alot of people,Waterford to Dublin and Dublin to Waterford line, people need options and flexibility so a train every hour and stopping at each railway station along the route, 6am to 11pm each day if possible, people will use trains more often if there flexible and extra carriages,Irish rail as affordable prices and convenient for traveling, now this is the time to add extra train public transport.

"Many in the town depend on the rail service for access to employment and education, expansion of the service is desperately needed.

I have singed the petition because I get the train from Athy to Dublin to go to work. Also, I agree there should be more trains from Waterford to Dublin.
